Informations espèce

Le demi-argus est un papillon de jour, de petite taille, de la famille des lycaenidae. Le dessous des ailes est gris beige orné d'une rangée d'ocelles noirs cerclés de blanc. Le dessus de l'aile est bleu-violet foncé avec bordure sombre et frange blanche chez le ♂ et entièrement brun foncé chez la femelle. Il peut être confondu avec l'azuré de la chevrette (Cupido osiris) qui se différencie par le dessous gris clair.
